Police Seeking Murder Suspect
The Boston Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a murder suspect.
On Thursday October 12, 2006, officers from District 18 responded to 1282 Hyde Park Ave. On arrival, officers observed a victim suffering from a stab wound. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he was later pronounced. This homicide is a result of a personal dispute between the victim and the suspect.
Homicide investigators have identified the suspect as Haussan Leon Harris.

Race: Black Gender: Male
Age: 32
Complexion: Light-skinned
Hair: Close cropped cut
Height: 5 ft. 9 in.
Lbs: 220
LSD: Black or dark purple Mercedes Benz in good condition
License Plate: unknown
Last Known Address: Brockton

Four Female Suspects Arrested in Home Invasion
At approximately 7:47pm yesterday, officers from District 2 responded to an address on Columbia Road for a disturbance. On arrival, officers observed a large group in front of that location engaging in a loud verbal exchange. Officers identified the victims who reported that the suspects came to their house and forcibly entered their home despite the fact that the door was locked and closed. Per victims, the suspects confronted them and proceeded to physically assault them. Suspects, Mary Baldwin, 21, of Dorchester, Pauletta Baldwin-Nurse, 35, of Dorchester, and two female juveniles, 13 and 16 years old, of Dorchester, were arrested and charged with Home Invasion, Armed Assault in a Dwelling, Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery and Disorderly Conduct.
2 Suspects Arrested in Drive-by Shooting Incident
About 8:58pm yesterday, officers from District 2 responded to the Orchard Gardens Housing Complex after being alerted by a Housing officer that a shooting had just occurred. Officers were able to locate and the suspect vehicle and place two individuals under arrest. Officers recovered the firearm used in the incident after placing the suspects in custody. Conversation with the two victims confirmed that they were sitting in front of 10 Wheatley Way when a car drove by and began to fire in their direction. Both victims were transported to Boston Medical Center and treated non life-threatening injuries.
Suspects, Caron Kindell, 24, of Dorchester and Roshawn A. Drane, 21, of Mattapan, were both arrested and charged with Assault and Battery by Means of Dangerous Weapon: Gun, Possession of a Firearm, Possession of Ammunition and Possession of a Firearm with Obliterated Numbers.
Two other suspects from this incident remain at large.
Harvard Street and Cummings Highway Homicide Victim Identified
At 11:00pm on Wednesday, October 11, 2006, officers from District 18 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 10 Wood Ave. Officers located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound at Harvard Street and Cummings Highway. EMS transported the victim to Brigham and Women’s Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Hardy Celestin, 17, of Roslindale. The cause of death has been determined to be multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death is considered a homicide.
Boston Police Homicide Detectives continue to investigate the murder of Hardy Celestin. This is the 55th homicide victim of 2006.

Death Investigation at 42 Stanwood Street
At 1:03am on Friday, October 13, 2006, officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for a person shot outside of 42 Stanwood Street. On arrival officers locate a black male in his late twenties suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. EMS transported the victim to Boston Medial Center where he was pronounced as a result of his injury.
Officers recovered ballistics evidence at the scene. Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance and urge anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470 or to remain anonymous call the Crime Stoppers Tip Line at 1-800-494-TIPS.

Two People Shot In Mattapan
Last night around 9:35pm, officers in District 3 responded to a radio call for a person shot at 42 Astoria Street. On arrival officers located two individuals suffering from gunshot wounds. One victim suffered gunshot wounds to the stomach and hip. First victim was transported to Boston Medical Center in serious condition. The second victim sustained a gunshot wound to leg and was transported to Boston Medical Center with a non-life threatening injury.
Person Shot at Harvard Street and Cummings Highway
Last night around 11:00pm, officers in District 18 responded to a radio call for a person shot at Cummings Highway and Harvard Street. On arrival officers located a victim suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital in critical condition.
Person Stabbed on Fawndale Road
At 12:53am, officers in District 5 responded to a radio call for a stabbing. On scene officers were informed that the victim was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital for a stab wound. Officers responded to the hospital and located a victim suffering from a stab wound to the back. The victim’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
Victim Stabbed During Robbery
This morning around 12:56am, officers in District 7 responded to a radio call for a person stabbed at 10 Gove Street (East Boston Health Center). On arrival officers located a victim suffering from a stab wound to the shoulder. The victim stated he was walking down Saratoga Street and Brook Street when a suspect approached him from behind and demanded money while holding a knife. A fight ensued and the victim was stabbed. The victim’s injuries are said to be non-life threatening.
