Victim Identified in Huntington Avenue Homicide

On Friday afternoon at about 4:27pm officers from District 4 responded to the Westin Hotel located at 10 Huntington Avenue on a report of a person stabbed. On arrival the officers discovered Carlos E. Borrero, Jr., 30, of Chelsea suffering from a stab wound in an enclosed employee area within the hotel. The victim and the suspect, both employees, were involved in an altercation that resulted in the victim being stabbed. Borrero was transported to the Boston Medical Center by Boston EMS where he was pronounced. Police arrested Ivan Sosa, 37, of Dorchester and have charged him with murder. He will be arraigned Monday morning in the Boston Municipal Court.
