Robber Foiled

At 5:35pm, officers from District 4 received a radio call for an armed robbery in progress at 333 Massachusetts Avenue. A description of the suspect from a 911 caller was broadcast and upon arrival, officers were directed to the stairway inside the store. Juan Pablo, 34, of Roxbury was found attempting to hide in an aisle. Officers arrested Pablo and recovered money he had taken from the store register. He will be charged with Armed Robbery tomorrow in Boston Municipal Court.

Stabbing Suspect Caught

Officers came upon two men who had stopped traffic in the middle of Walnut Avenue in Roxbury. Officers observed one male with blood on his shirt holding the other male in a headlock. Officers determined that the victim was stabbed by Powell after he demanded his cell phone. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening wounds.
