Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested in the South End

This afternoon at 12:39pm, an officer from District 4 responded to the Bank of America at 133 Massachusetts Avenue on a report of a bank robbery in progress. On arrival the officer spoke with a witness who stated that the suspect entered the bank, threatened the teller stating that he had a gun and robbed the teller of an undisclosed amount of U.S. Currency. The suspect fled the bank, yet remained outside attempting to blend in with the crowd in the street. The officer apprehended the suspect after being positively identified, and placed Richard Bolduc, 55, of Boston under arrest charging him with Armed Bank Robbery. No firearm was recovered, although, the officer recovered the U.S. Currency that was stolen from the bank. The FBI and the Bank Robbery task Force responded and will continue to investigate this robbery.
