This morning at approximately 11:35am, officers from District 5 responded to a radio call for a bank robbery at the Cooperative Bank located at 40 Belgrade Avenue in Roslindale. Officers spoke with witnesses that stated the suspect entered the bank, passed a note, and was given an undisclosed amount of U.S. currency before fleeing on foot.

Witnesses reported to police that the suspect was given a dye pack and police were led to 3 Conway Street where they observed red stains on door handles and walls leading to a third floor apartment. When one suspect answered the door, he was freshly showered, however, the bathtub was stained red.

A 14 year-old juvenile was arrested and will be charged with Armed Robbery. Peter Charles, 17, of Roslindale, who was found hiding in a bedroom in the apartment will be charged as an Accessory After a Crime and arraigned in West Roxbury District Court tomorrow.
