BOSTON POLICE SUPERINTENDENT PAUL JOYCE, JR. TO ADDRESS
ASPIRING PUBLIC SAFETY EXPERTS AT 2ND ANNUAL PINNING CEREMONY

WHO: Boston Police Superintendent Paul Joyce, Jr.; Boston Park Rangers Chief Gene Survillo; Boston Emergency Medical Services Superintendent-in-Chief Jim Hooley; Boston Police Activities League Executive Director Elliot Feldman; numerous other public safety officials and twenty-eight Monument High School public safety interns

WHAT: Monument High School Public Safety Internship will hold it’s 2nd annual pinning ceremony to celebrate the accomplishments of student interns, who have worked throughout the year at various local public safety initiatives. This year’s pinning ceremony will rank each intern as: Captain, Lieutenant, Sergeant and Corporal. The ceremony will feature a keynote address given by Superintendent Paul Joyce, as well additional remarks from students, program supervisors and school officials.

WHY: The Monument High School Public Safety Internship provides a model program for nation-wide small school reform. Thanks to the excellence in community, corporate and pathway partnerships, inner-city students receive after-school paid internships that align with the small learning community’s public safety and criminal justice focus while meeting the students needs and developing career interests.
