At approximately 4:04pm on Monday June 19, 2006, police responded to Congress & North Streets for a report of a person stabbed. A male victim in his 40's was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital with a life threatening stab wound(s) and was later pronounce deceased.

The victim has been identified as 42-year-old Roy Elliott of Boston. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner has determined the cause of death to be a stab wound and ruled the manner of death a homicide.
