W. Tremlett Street Shooting Victim Identified

On Thursday May 18, 2006, at 1:25am, officers from District 3 responded to 29 W. Tremlett Street in Dorchester for a person shot. A male victim was found in a first floor hallway suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was taken to Boston Medical Center and was pronounced dead at about 3:07am. The victim in this shooting has been identified as 32-year-old Allen McNeal of Dorchester. The cause of death as ruled by the medical examiner is gunshot wound and the manner of death has been ruled a homicide. The victim was incorrectly identified as a 23-year-old male on the original release.
