Morton Street Death Investigation

Yesterday morning at 6:21am, officers from District 2 responded to a radio call for a body found at 170 Morton Street in Jamaica Plain. On arrival the police discovered the burnt body of a teenage black female. The cause and manner of death is currently under investigation by the Boston Police Homicide Unit and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. Police have a tentative identification, but are withholding the name of the victim until a positive identification has been made.

Homicide Detectives are currently the lead investigators in this incident. Investigators urge anyone with information to contact the Boston Police Homicide Unit at 617-343-4470 or remain anonymous and contact the Crime Stoppers Unit at 800-494-TIPS.
