Carmel Street Shooting Victim Identified

On May 5, 2006 at 8:16pm, officers from District 2 responded to 6 Carmel Street for a man down. On arrival they observed a victim lying in an alleyway suffering from what appeared to be head trauma. The victim has been identified as 30-year-old Wellington Demaisonet of Dorchester. The cause of death has been determined by the Medical Examiner as a Gunshot wound and the manner of death ruled a homicide.
