East Boston Man Arrested for Identity Theft

In 2004, a Framingham man reported to Boston Police that his wallet was stolen and an unknown person had set up an account with Boston Edison under his name. Yesterday, officers responded to Rebecca’s Café at 411 Brookline Avenue for an employee who was using the victim’s identity as his own. The suspect, Ruben Londono, a 33-year-old East Boston man, used the victim’s name, Social Security number and date of birth when he applied for the job. He was arrested and charged with Identity Theft.

Gas Station Robbed on N. Beacon Street

Last night at approximately 9:20pm, officers from District 14 responded to the Market Street Gulf on North Beacon Street for an armed robbery. The victim, who was working as the clerk, reported that an unknown white man entered the gas station, walked behind the counter and threatened him with a knife. The victim opened the register for the suspect and allowed him to flee with $500 cash before calling police. The area was searched but no suspect was found.
