Boston Police Investigating Fatal Shooting in Roxbury

One of two male victims injured in a shooting that occurred at 23 Brook Marshall Road in Roxbury last evening, has died as a result wounds suffered in the incident. Seventeen -year-old David Velasquez of Roxbury was pronounced earlier this morning at the Boston Medical Center. The shooting took place at 2039hrs; both victims were transported to the Boston Medical Center for treatment.

The second male victim suffered a non-fatal gunshot wound. This is the 64th homicide investigated by the Boston Police Department this year.

Boston Police Homicide Detectives continue to investigate this incident. They ask anyone with information about this incident to call them at 617-343-4470, or to remain anonymous 1-800-494-TIPS.
